Fall in the woods
Fall in the Tennenlohe forest, Germany
This picture illustrates that time and patience are some of the most important pieces of “equipment” of a nature photographer. I've discovered this spot in the woods two years ago. In May 2004 I have re-visited the spot to check if the ferns still grow as high and dense there. Another picture in the gallery was made at that opportunity. Then I waited more than four months for fall colors to arrive. Finally, at the end of September, with perfect weather for the shot (drizzle, overcast sky) I have taken this photo.
