Creative Expansion Cards

These expansion cards add functionality to a number of film cameras (see camera table, “cards” is mentioned in some columns). None of these cards is required for a camera, and none of these cards will store images. Image recording and storage is still on film!

Automatic Shift Control
Takes 3 pictures in a row with identical exposure but varying aperture/time combinations.

Takes 3 pictures in a row with identical exposure but varying aperture/time combinations. Aperture/time can be changed by 1, 2 or 3 stops.
Multi Spot Memory
Stores up to 8 spot metering values and averages them for final exposure.
Highlight/Shadow Control
Allows to emphasize highlights or shadows during exposure. Highlight exposures are made with +2.3 stops of metered value, shadow exposures are made with −2.7 stops.
A/S mode
Adds A and S exposure modes to cameras that don't have these modes.
Customized Function

Allows to customize the following functions:
  • Standard settings after reset: P/A/S/M mode, exposure compensation, metering mode, AF area
  • Increasing or decreasing frame numbers
  • Automatic or manual film rewind
  • Leader out (on/off)

Could you at least refer people to some outfit that may still have old Minolta parts and accesories? It would be a great help. I am sure there must be outfits out there with multiple parts and accesories looking forward to getting rid of them.

The problem is, I don't know where to get old Minolta equipment, either. Even if I did, the availability would change on a daily basis. The information would be either permanently out of date, or I would be forced to do permanent market research. I don't want to do this.

In holland we have "Marktplaats" it is comparable with e-bay. If you search well there is a lot of old minolta equipment to find.
Just bought the "beercan" 70-210mm f4 and the 28-135mm f4-4.5 for reasonble proces.

When the first AF Minolta body was released in 1985, Minolta supplied two MD/AF 2x converters - Minolta M/A converter S ( < 300 mm ) and Minolta M/A converter L ( > 300 mm ), which enabled the Minolta AF 7000 to utilize MC/MD lenses. Any chance of having them listed in Accessories?

The images are symbolic, demonstrating what e.g. a “grid” screen is. The actual screens vary from model to model.

Minolta screw-in polarizers are bevelled to avoid vignetting. Eg the 55mm filter has a 55mm rear diameter and a 68mm front diameter.

Das Akkuladegerät, welches bei der Sony A77 dabei ist, heißt zwar auch Sony BC-VM10 allerdings mit A am Ende (Sony BC-VM10A) und lädt keine Fremdakkus!

I do not have detailed information about some of these cards. But none of these store images. How could they? All of the compatible cameras are film cameras.

I just bought a Minolta Polarizer in a 52mm size. Yes - 52 as in Nikon and not 55. I do not know if it is circular yet. The glass is about 55 across and the rotating ring is like a rubber lens hood with circular groves along the flared surround which stahds out about 5mm from the glass. It is beautifully made in Japan. It came in a Minolta round case. Why did Minolta make a 52 - for Nikon owners? I know Minolta used 49, 55, 62... but never saw a 52.

The camera uses a 2CR5 battery. It should be still available.

The camera can not store images on a card. It's still a film camera. The card slot is for expansion cards (see above).

The eyepiece cup of the A900 is the FDA-EP4AM, available from Sony, but I doubt it will fit (well).
