Hallo,

I have no problem with my new Sony alfa 100 camera with to trig flash units (3 pieces). I have bought the PCT-100 unit an I can tell you that it works. It works with a old an cheap slave flash.
Best regards Jørgen Skram Jensen, Denmark

Thanks for the very informative web site about Minolta/Sony cameras and especially flash units. I had been very disappointed with the 7D + 3600HS(D & 5600HS(D) for a few years because a Miinolta factory rep told me that the camera could not do the OTF TTL that I was used to and that multiple flash units would not work under wireless control. You explain how pre-flash TTL is better than OTF and are clear about how multiple flash wireless works.
I am amazed that you have such a thoroughly extensive and informative web site but don't seem to be selling anything!
Do you know about the following? With DSLR's there is a distinction between the focal-plane shutter and array electronic shuttering. How does this relate to pre-flash TTL and to wireless flash control? Why is there a focal plane shutter at all in DSLR's? And why can't the 7D take video shorts like non-SLR digital cameras?
Do you have a program for adding reviewed messages to your guestbook, or are you doing it by hand? I might like to set up something similar, so I'd like to know how you do it. I'm trying to make modern embryololgy better known at egginfo.ingo and expect not to be able to show some write ins.

Thank you for all your work here. I have just bought an Alpha 100 and your site is a great help in sorting through the choice of prime lens available.

Thank you for being,,,I have learned lots that I would not have even thought about. Any information you might have concerning the 5600 flash with the A100 would be insightful.

Michael Hohner answers:
The 5600HS(D) is fully compatible with the A100. Also see the new Minolta/Sony F.A.Q. on this site.
